The Patchogue Theatre opened on May 23, 1923 as perhaps the largest and most magnificent theater on Long Island, and it remained so until the mid 1980s when it closed. LIVE IN THE LOBBY is a series of concerts for small audiences held in the lobby of the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts. These concerts feature artists from the Long Island area playing a wide variety of original music in an intimate, comfortable setting with excellent acoustics.
